Products The Lineup

The right product depends on the store you run.

Thomas is an agent for every program on this page, which means the recommendation is driven by your inventory, your volume, and your customers. Not by whoever owns the shelf.

Start Which are you?

Where CAS fits depends on what's on your lot.

For Franchise Stores

Your primary or OEM program is built for new vehicles, and it should stay that way. Certified and used inventory generates claims your primary was never meant to carry, and routing those claims there can cost you on the loss ratio.

CAS sits underneath it. Coverage built for used and high-mileage inventory picks up the units your primary declines, so those vehicles finally produce F&I gross instead of walking off the lot uncovered. It's designed to sit alongside what you already run, and Thomas reviews your current programs first to make sure it does.

AAGI gives Thomas two different vehicle service contracts to work with, and they're built for different parts of your lot. AutoGuard® Plus goes deep on newer, technology-heavy vehicles. AutoGuard® Drive reaches further into used and high-mileage inventory. Both pay the repair facility directly and carry claim support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

AutoGuard® Plus

System-based coverage for modern vehicles

AutoGuard® Plus covers whole vehicle systems instead of individual parts, which means fewer gray areas at claim time. It's written for gas, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

  • Powertrain Plus. Engine, transmission, and drive axle systems, including every part inside or directly attached to them.
  • Classic Plus. Powertrain Plus, plus brakes, front suspension, steering, charging, starting, ignition, air conditioning, fuel, anti-lock brakes, cooling, and hybrid electric propulsion.
  • Ultimate Plus. The most comprehensive level: any breakdown not listed in the contract's exclusions.
  • Hybrid and EV systems. Battery and thermal management, on-board charger, electric motor, inverters, power control units, and high-voltage cables. The battery itself is covered on Ultimate Plus New only.
  • Luxury and high-tech systems. Navigation, keyless entry, driver displays, perimeter warning, and onboard communication.
  • Belts and hoses on Ultimate Plus New. Timing belt at every level.
  • Rental car. Up to $45 a day for up to 20 days when a covered repair runs overnight. No deductible.
  • Trip interruption. Lodging and meals, up to $150 a day for up to five days, when a covered breakdown 100+ miles from home runs overnight. No deductible.
  • 24/7 roadside, U.S. and Canada. Towing, jump starts, fuel and fluid delivery, flat tires, and lockouts, up to $150 per occurrence.

AutoGuard® Drive

Flexible coverage for used and high-mileage vehicles

AAGI's program for the used-vehicle market. It accepts more makes, models, mileage bands, and usage types, including high-mileage units, Canadian imports, hybrids, EVs, and modified vehicles.

  • Powertrain Plus. Engine, transmission, timing belt, transfer case, drive shaft, and hybrid electric motor, plus major cooling and electrical parts like the starter, alternator, and water pump.
  • Premium. Powertrain Plus, plus components like brake calipers, fuel injectors, ignition switch, wheel bearings, front shocks and struts, radiator, and A/C compressor. Adds power windows, door locks, and keyless entry.
  • Ultimate. Any breakdown not listed in the contract's exclusions, plus factory tech like backup cameras, adaptive cruise control, navigation, collision avoidance, lane departure, and blind spot detection.
  • Seals and gaskets, plus wear and tear, on every plan for vehicles under 150,000 miles at sale.
  • Ultimate options. Business use, and belts and hoses on Ultimate New.
  • No extra deductible on previously repaired parts.
  • Rental car. Up to $40 a day for up to seven days on Premium and Ultimate, when a covered repair runs overnight. No deductible.
  • 24/7 roadside, every tier. Towing, jump starts, fuel and fluid delivery, flat tires, and lockouts, up to $100 per occurrence. Reimbursement only on California contracts.
  • Dealer side. Streamlined rating, remittance, and reporting, backed by A-rated insurers.

Plus or Drive?

Plus goes deeper on newer, tech-heavy vehicles and carries the richer rental, trip interruption, and roadside benefits. Drive reaches more of a used lot, including high-mileage, imported, and modified units, and adds business-use options. Thomas will tell you which one fits the inventory you actually retail, and plenty of stores will want both.

AutoGuard® Plus and AutoGuard® Drive are vehicle service contracts administered by American Auto Guardian. This is a summary of AAGI's published materials. Coverage, eligibility, deductibles, benefit limits, and exclusions are set by each contract and may vary by state. See the contract for complete terms.

Some stores don't want a product. They want a department. Headstart Warranty Group is a third-party administrator with a complete F&I menu, which makes it the natural spine of an independent dealer's back end and a clean way for a franchise store to fill gaps its primary doesn't reach.

  • Vehicle service contracts across coverage levels, for the range of inventory a used lot actually carries.
  • GAP coverage, so a total loss doesn't turn into a negative-equity conversation in your F&I office.
  • Ancillary products to round out the menu and give your manager more than one way to structure a deal.
  • Marine, RV, and moto coverage expanding, useful if your inventory is drifting that direction.
Product availability and coverage terms are set by Headstart Warranty Group and vary by state. Ask Thomas what's currently live in California, Nevada, and Arizona before you plan a menu around it.

Service contracts can produce underwriting profit. In a conventional arrangement, somebody else keeps it and hands you a commission.

A dealer-owned warranty company changes who that somebody is. You form your own entity. It becomes the provider on the contracts your store sells. The underwriting results and the investment income stay on your side of the ledger, while DOWC handles administration, claims adjudication, compliance, and reporting, so you are not in the business of running an insurance company on top of running a dealership.

  • You own the entity. Full visibility into reserves, investments, and performance.
  • They run the operation. Administration, claims, compliance, and reporting handled by DOWC.
  • Your brand, your products. Control over program branding and which F&I products your stores offer.
  • Something you own. Unlike a commission, a warranty company is a legal entity with its own balance sheet.
A DOWC is a significant structural decision with capital, licensing, accounting, and tax implications, and it is not right for every store. Any figures, tax treatment, or financial projections come from DOWC and your own CPA and counsel, not from CAS. Thomas's role is to tell you honestly whether it's worth the conversation, and to set that conversation up.

A side-by-side is not a sedan. A fifth wheel is not a crossover. A wake boat is neither. Dealers who retail these units know the frustration of trying to cover them with a program designed for something with four doors and a commute.

Through CAS, Connex handles specialty inventory on its own terms. That's exactly what it's for. Nothing else.

  • Powersports. The units that get ridden hard and covered poorly.
  • Recreational vehicles. Coverage that accounts for what an RV actually is: a vehicle attached to a house.
  • Marine. Watercraft coverage, from a shelf that isn't an afterthought.
Through Comprehensive Auto Solutions, Connex coverage is currently offered for powersports, RV, and marine units. Standard automotive coverage is handled through the AAGI and Headstart programs above.

Sooner or later, almost every customer hits a pothole, a nail, or debris on the road. And the inside of the car takes its own beating, from spilled coffee on a seat to a door dent in a parking lot. TIREWise Plus bundles road hazard tire and wheel coverage with appearance protection, so one product handles both.

It's written as a full vehicle service contract, not a product warranty. It's available on new and pre-owned vehicles with no mileage restrictions, on terms up to 84 months. Bundled benefits may include:

  • Road hazard tire and wheel. The core of the product. A tire that can't be repaired gets replaced, and a wheel damaged badly enough that the tire won't hold air gets repaired or replaced, including mounting and balancing.
  • Paintless dent repair, including a hail deductible benefit.
  • Exterior surface protection, including clear coat scratch repair.
  • Interior surface protection for rips, tears, and burns.
  • Key and key fob replacement.
  • Windshield protection.
  • Emergency roadside assistance and alternative transportation.

Which benefits are available depends on the state and the contract form, so Thomas will confirm what can go in a bundle for your store. Where included, key, windshield, and hail coverage carry no aggregate or per-occurrence limits.

TIREWise Plus is administered by Vehicle Service Administrator LLC, a subsidiary of Wise F&I. This is a summary of Wise F&I's published materials. Benefit availability varies by state and contract form, and limitations and exclusions apply. See the TIREWise Plus contract for complete terms.
